Evaluating A Reiki Master Teacher: 6 questions that matter.

If you are considering hiring, studying Reiki, or becoming a Reiki practitioner read on! Reiki is amazing, even if you only want to learn to practice on yourself, there are a number of important considerations that are beneficial to mull over before choosing that special energetic teacher to attune you or work on you. Working with an energy body is a BIG deal. Getting attuned could be life changing, or it could be just another few hour class you took in your life that really didn’t do much. I speak to a lot of people who say “I took it years ago and never really practiced.” or “I learned Reiki but it was just half day course and I didn’t really ever do anything with it or even understand it that well.” What a sad thing. Reiki is such a monumental life event, if the student is ready to receive and works at it.

We definitely need to get good research and outcome data on Reiki. Certain considerations will benefit us in the work of getting data on this method. I am a proponent of teaching Reiki in a 3 year college course that. A Reiki I class that has consistent supervision and 100 hours of clinical rotation. In order to build intuition, confidence and understand Reiki, one must let it build.

Whether Reiki comes in and creates a massive shift or it’s just something that you did, could depend entirely on a number of factors.

  1. How a student has progressed in their own personal growth. IE: how much work they’ve done to recognize and overcome the ego, habit patterns, and negative programming. All of the above lends to negative emotional states which will impede the Reiki. “What are you feeding the field?” Meditation is pertinent.
  2. The quality of the ‘channel’. Does the student keep it clean? Reiki comes through stronger when the channel is clear.
  3. The Reiki Master Teacher, their experience, training, practice, and how they practice and how expansive their teaching methods and long-term support is.

There is a discussion that can take place during the initial interview of a “REIKI MASTER” to get an understanding of who they are as a teacher and as a human being.

  1. How long did it take you to become a Reiki Master?  Grand Master Usui trained students daily over a minimum of three years. He gauged their professional practice, worked along side them and expected daily self-Reiki. Only those dedicated to the path were allowed to become a higher level Reiki practitioner. A master teacher is important. If a teacher didn’t apprentice under another master who can vouch for their methods, if they didn’t have oversight and help organize and teach Reiki I & II classes, then they didn’t apprentice. It is now possible to receive a ‘master’ certificate by mail, I wouldn’t call it ethical though. I ask, how can one learn to teach if they do not witness multiple classes being taught and assist their master in teaching classes?? Some teachers will give a ‘master’ level within a few months after learning Reiki I. I’m not sure why this happens. Ask: What does it take to master a trade? Do I just want a certificate to say I am something, or am I committed to really learning this?
  2. How long was your Reiki Master course, and did you teach classes as part of it? You want to be sure that they were actually taught how to teach by a strong ethical teacher. The Reiki Master courses I teach are usually 10 days long, on a retreat from sun up to sun down. The course includes teaching a Reiki I and Reiki II course. Ideally you want to get your master training from the teacher you’ve worked with for years. Once you’ve already been organizing classes with them and witnessing attunements through your apprenticeship you will be confident about becoming a teacher yourself.
  3. How long will it take me to become a Reiki Master though you? If they are willing to give you a Master Certificate right away, without even knowing your personality, the chances are they are you won’t get a strong hands on lineage. The chances are, this could be about creating money, not ethical Reiki practitioners. My answer to this question is:  “It would take three years- five years minimum if you are a strong practitioner and are dedicated in your self-care, and care of others to master this energy. But first, lets talk bout Reiki I and see if that changes your life!”
  4. How many people have you attuned, how many attunements do you give for each level and do you give individual attunements? They should be well versed in attuning. Our lineage says FOUR attunements for Reiki I and TWO for Reiki II. Each attunement would be given to each person not a group attunement or sent by distance. Though you can send attunements remotely, it’s important to be face to face when getting certification.
  5. How many hours a week do you give Reiki to others? How many hours to yourself? A strong practice is important for the attunements to be strong. Strong teachers would be professional practitioners.
  6. Do you teach Reiki I and Reiki II together? This is important because Reiki doesn’t require licensing, there are no set standards in Reiki. People learn Reiki I & Reiki II in a simple two day course. But that doesn’t even touch the surface of teaching a solid practitioner, in my opinion. In order to get really established on the path of Reiki it takes a minimum of two full days of training (for six or more students) to fully explain and experience the process of transformation and individual attunements. Then a full year to develop that energy between Reiki I and II. You may hope for a ‘no’ on this one. I know I always do.

Reiki training given by a stringent and ethical Master Teacher with decades of experience in the field isn’t about money, it is about ENERGY. We must teach respect for the life-force energy and providing teachings in the highest possible frequency. In order to truly represent and respect this beautiful divine energy, strong ethical practices and pure intentions are pertinent. Then the teacher can witness students over time and create strong practitioners. If you feel differently, feel free to leave a comment. I am open to viewpoints.

The only students I have attuned to Reiki II are the special onse who call me monthls later and ask me many excited questions. Questions about the energy they feel flowing, and the interesting things that are happening in the year(s) after their Reiki I certification. If they haven’t had a deep opening after Reiki I, then there is no need to provide them the Reiki II certification. Most profound students need to speak about the miracles happening through and around them. If not, then they could be either using their first level to progress on their path to gain more maturity on a spiritual/psychic level. If Reiki I doesn’t change their life and make them want to learn more and more,  then are not practicing enough to have the need to move to the next level.

Reiki I is for everyone! But, it is my understanding that no one needs Reiki II certification unless they are planning on practicing professionally.  So why give professional level instruction, before they’ve even built up a Reiki flow or provided one treatment? By piling stuff to do on top of Reiki I, you just keep the ego functioning within the session. The person is asking themselves ‘what should I be adding right now?’ and the ego is firmly in the mix. It’s important to learn to let go of ego, and let the Reiki intelligence grow and flow first. Reiki I students are still Reiki babies when receiving level I attunements and that is BEAUTIFUL! I would like to see Reiki I taught over a year with clinical rotation hours given and notes on each session taken by the practitioner BEFORE entering into a Reiki II conversation much less a class. This is what I ask of my students.

If you are planning to practice professionally, then I would think you would be working hard to develop the flow of reiki by giving MANY treatments over the course of a full year and documenting them to show your teacher, and your teacher should ask before giving you Reiki II. I would think you would want to be sure to practice in order to be a good light worker with a strong connection, before you worry about getting paid as a professional. Dr. Usui taught students in a college like environment in a dedicated center where they spent large amounts of time for three solid years before ever becoming Reiki Masters. Only Madame Takata the last grand-master became a Reiki Master outside of his school, and that was because she set up her own practice in a clinic and worked daily transforming lives utilizing her Reiki training. Then she was visited by the second Grand Master of Reiki, Dr. Hyashi who believed she embodied the ideals that Reiki stood for and bestowed the honor of Reiki Master onto her.

If we want to create strong practitioners that are getting well-paid to give treatments similar to that of an acupuncturist or massage therapist, don’t you think it’s worth while to give them sufficient training and actual apprenticeship before sending them off to just get paid? If we want to show evidence that Reiki works then we need some standards.

Ask yourself why Reiki II?

Reiki II is MAGIC. Why would you teach magic to someone that you don’t know? Why would you teach MAGIC to anyone unless you know that person has worked hard, has a humble ego and strong, ethical practice?

Why would someone be willing to give the tools for entering a persons field REMOTELY if this person hasn’t already built up a strong Reiki practice on themselves and others in person? Students benefit from being apprenticed through a master that helps them in understanding deeply the ethical implications of entering someone’s field remotely. Unless you’ve entered multiple treatment fields for at least a year and practiced to understand how to interpret the Reiki, and it’s intuitive powers you are still a new practitioner.

If we had set standards for time spent training in Reiki, then we would be much more likely to get good science on Reiki because the practitioners would have sufficient time to build up their flow. We would be much more likely to be taken seriously by the medical field if there was serious training.

If we do scientific studies on Reiki, it will be beneficial to set study standards for practiced professionals with three to five years minimum experience. We can work with ‘hobbyists’, but unless they’re doing hours of reiki professionally each week, then the flow will not be strong and the studies will not be positive as they could be.

This practice is a spiritual practice. This practice is a meditative practice, as such the practitioner will advance on their path if they are doing Reiki consistently. Why rush? If you want to rush ask yourself, is this ego? Why would you take away the profound change that can come through practicing Reiki I on friends, family, plants, animals and see the softening effect it has on the ego? Why pile Reiki II on top in the SAME WEEKEND? Really?  Reiki master in just a few months? Remotely?

I understand that many people want instant gratification. Many want to be able to say they are  ‘masters’ and have that on their resumé. You can pay for, and get any certification you want, but you are NOT a master of anything, unless you’ve put in 10,000 hours. Ask how one could ‘master’ an energy this profound without working at it –and without it absolutely changing your life over time, and on many levels.

So, anyone who tells me they got Reiki I and Reiki II in one weekend? I would beg their teacher to reconsider their methods and ask them to take my Reiki I course and see why it takes two days minimum. Anyone who became a master remotely or within a short period of time and WITHOUT a professional practice on clients who are paying them to provide a consistent supportive care presence, they are not a master regardless of the certificate they bought.

When you get attuned by someone who has energetically aligned themselves with a higher source over a long period of time and practiced diligently in every area of their life, you can feel a shift. Things will change.  This is the only thing worth your time and attention and energy, and oh yeah money too.

Dear Leftys, Social Justice Seekers and Next Generation,

I know almost everyone is shocked and angry. However, we must not attack each-other. In lowering our beautiful energy to the vibrational level of anger and staying there– we give the haters exactly what they want –a hateful world. A skewed version of humanity. Yes these racist, and brave-enough-to-attack-people-assholes exist but it’s not the voters or non-voters fault, these assholes would be there either way.

I see this as the last gasp of a dying patriarchy. A reflection of a manical antiquated CORRUPT two party system that was based on enslavement of the population for profit since its early days. But not from its inception. This system has to change. Our way of being will be threatened. It should have happened in 2007, the huge backlash by the moral majority, but instead there was a bail out. Money was consolidated and amassed out of the hands of the middle class and those responsible were rewarded for it.

Corruption and bigotry go hand in hand and are engrained on a very deep level. They are both based on negating another human being, in the name of ego, or profit.

We must engage, but we cannot evolve if we are vibrating below the frequency of neutrality. This behavior is not ok, but at least it’s out in the open so we can address it. Now HOW to address it without losing our balance and our understanding of people as inherently good? We on the left must prepare ourselves and not be shocked by ignorant bigots, but deal with it utilizing intelligent but strong action, and standing in our BALANCED power.

We must be willing to sacrifice our comfort level, because no amount of posting on Facebook will create what is needed for real change, though it can motivate others to action.

Please watch the documentary on Netflix called 13th. It helped me understand more about racism and how it was built into our system. Then we can harken back to the days when the USA stayed out of the holocaust for years, and failed to defend the Jewish population until millions were killed, because our top families and corporations were making mass quantities of investments and profits on those atrocities. They stated ‘there was no compelling reason for entering sooner’. Because in THAT CASE it was more profitable to stay out than to enter.  Oh yeah also, because GENOCIDE isn’t compelling enough, not if we’re still in the black…. But fast forward, we’ve been really quick to go to war when the profits are under their sand and the Haliburtons of the world can gain.

If we are going to address the Trumpism issue we must have a tiny understanding of how we got here, and just how insipid and hardwired our system is with this mindset. THEN AND ONLY THEN will we begin to be able to fix it. Little sister, make no mistake it is your generation that is tasked with this. You stand poised to evolve the consciousness of mankind itself. You will be successful. WE will be. You know why? Because we had our strong red headed mothers and hippie fathers behind us who led the way and started this momentum. Unfortunately, or gladly your generation is going to have to change everything in order to save this place. I’m here with you, let’s work together.

I’m walking in the peace protests to stop for AIM SPECTRA and STANDING ROCK to demand the profiteers stop raping and killing what is left of the indigenous of this land. Who, BTW were estimated to be between 10 and 100 million strong when we arrived and we had them down under 2 million by the time we were done stealing their land, killing their food supply…. We then put them in ‘prisoner of war camps’ where they have been persecuted ever since with the latest encroachment being to devastate their sacred sites and build fracked gas pipelines that WILL break across the water supply of 10 million people, including those numerous tribes.

The entire human race is the next tribe to be wiped off the planet if we are not collectively awakened now. Planetary genocide is happening. It’s time to collectively put our foot down. Take ACTION.

The mindset of separatism is hellacious but the voice of our Mother Earth will be heard. Her children are wide awake and we are taking names.  Nahko: “Love Letters To God”

Human Particle Theory Pt. III: Interactions of Society & Government

Standing Rock and beyond. Human Particle Theory Pt. III: Interactions of Society and Government our Societal Degradation

In times of universal deceit telling the truth is a revolutionary act. ~George Orwell

Make no mistake this standoff at #StandingRock is the beginning of the re-evolution. Add to it this farce of an election with Donald Trump vs. Hillary Clinton.  Now is the perfect time to talk about Human Particle Physics Pt. 3. Societal Particle Theory is based on the belief that we can apply particle physics to life on many levels. What holds us together? How do things work? This theory about human interaction, relationships, health and societal constructs as an extension of particle physics is now coming to light. Recently I received a phone call from a scientist. He had this epiphany about interactions of particles and people, and he did a search and found the blog I had written about what he was thinking Human Particle Theory Pt 1….

See, siouxstandingrockthis is a prime example of weak interactions and the particle theory written about in Part 1 and Part 2 of this topic.

Lets talk about the health of our society as a whole based on interactions. So much is happening around the world. Economies are collapsing, and rebuilding. England has seceded from the European Union. In France they are rioting by the thousands in response to what is seen as a tightening reign of ‘ever increasing fascist’ governmental rules. And here in the USA we have a selection, not an election. We have the corporate takeover in plain site. We have a surge forward to protect pipelines, make new pipelines and protect the corporations rather than the people. Yet in North Dakota when the crime rate rose over 260% due to the fracking surge there was no rush to action. The pipeline worker camps moved in and rape, murder and many other violent crimes skyrocketed, and no emergency was declared. No big movement was proclaimed on behalf of protecting the (mostly native) citizens in the areas around the work camps. But as soon as native people gather to protest the oil industry, and protect the waters, a 10 million dollar influx of money and militarized vehicles, sound cannons, pepper spray and attack dogs were mobilized. A state of emergency was declared. Riot police from 20 agencies that have no jurisdiction at Standing Rock are invading sacred land to arrest American citizens on private property for peacefully protecting local water from being poisoned by a Texas fracking billionaire… at the expense of US Taxpayers?? Can you say #madness??

Now, how obvious is it that our government is not only failing to protect the first amendment right to a peaceful protest at Standing Rock, but being violent against peaceful protestors with full funding from taxpayer dollars. Why is it that that the crime rate and the desecration of our environment was not an ’emergency’ situation?

It feels like everything is speeding up and falling apart.

The way the government interacts with it’s population is a sure fire particle interaction. Increasingly the interactions have been weakening not strong. For example, America is often deemed the ‘best’ country in the world. Yet increasingly our well written constitutional rights are being taken away, with riders on bills that get passed in the middle of the night without any public vote, bills that clearly illustrate the corporate takeover of our politicians and policies. We look at cases like Edward Snowden, who put his life on the line to show the public that our privacies were being invaded without cause, and in direct violation of our constitutional privileges. But rather than a hero’s welcome, he is in hiding out seeking amnesty and still a criminal in the eyes of our government. A true reflection of how far we have gone into less than patriotic actions.

There are so many examples of ‘weakening’ interactions between the government and the people of this country, but none more important and pressing than this Dakota access pipeline and blocking it. The politicians and police and who is their boss?? You can see plainly that the corporations are in control. This is no longer concealed in the least in America. In USA are told we need to band together and trust that what we’re being offered by the status quo will work for our best interests, but when issues like standing rock happen, they remind us that we can pray and witness and collect, but it will not be peaceful. The right to even a silent political protests against corporate interests is not only untelevised, but increasingly you can see actions of private security and our own law enforcement being used not to PROTECT and SERVE, but to INTIMIDATE and facilitate VIOLENCE against those who gather to witness on behalf of the next seven generations. Is this a strong positive interaction between the government and it’s people? Will this serve to bring us together and unite us in a better world? I for one, certainly hope so.

Do you believe in the basic good of our government? What strong positive, consistent interaction is holding this system together?  Is our patriotism based on beliefs of the past that are not solidified by actions of the present? What about credibility? Is it necessary in this day and age to be in positions of power, or is it exactly the opposite?

As Charles Eisenstein mentioned, it is also my belief, that “once an institution has lost it’s credibility, it’s fall is not far behind”. What happened to “by the people for the people”? Do we even have a fair and balanced democratic election process? Who are the political forces and police forces working for?

It’s no wonder we’ve got a ‘separatist’ viewpoint, as if it’s ‘us and them’ or even worse ‘them against us’. This is not the truth. We are all THEM!!

Getting back to particle physics, we are all connected. There is no us and them. String theory proves that actions of the witness effect the particle being witnessed. We are all made of the same particles of dust and we have all interacted and therefore what one does effects the all. We see clearly that Capitalism is exactly the opposite of what is reality. Capitalism fosters the belief that it’s every man for himself, and that you can do whatever you want for money; in the name of profits. That’s the game.

Here in the USA, we have a built a solid nucleus of a interactive populous. Our society is considered elite, the richest in the world.  A system based on a very well written constitution, values that are the nucleus of our society. Our patriotism, the belief that our system was governed fairly and held the best interests of the people at it’s heart created a strong productive society. A very young country. One that is facing a huge challenge. We now see that the capitalistic systems feeds the lie of separatism by asking us to perpetuate the weakening interaction that material items and wealth is more important than, well ANYTHING. In the past few decades we have witnessed the greed, the lies to create wars, the raping and pillaging of native cultures and of the earth itself. This weakening system is based on the belief that you can do whatever for your own gains, at the detriment of the 99% at the destruction of the very planet that sustains us. I mean screw the next generation, we can make money now!! The weakening of our constitution and environment is degrading the nucleus of our world at it’s core. Many still don’t see that. But many do.

Wrung out 99%
wrung out….

People in high paid positions not only cheat and get away with it, the bankers and Wall Street moguls, insurance companies are bailed out and given high powered jobs in government. The trend is to reward the richest for bilking the public, and damn our own offspring, frack the environment with no eye for the next generation only for profits…..

So many weakening actions are creating a swift dissolution of the nucleus that holds our ‘Democratic’ society together. I now believe we are at the tipping point of those weakening interactions beginning to degrade the whole.

Make no mistake this is the revolution.

Now that so many of our rights and so much of Democracy’s ideals have been eroded. Now that the corporate takeover of the media and other private sectors is apparent, we are feeling less than optimistic about having the right to a peaceful protest that is televised, a candidate that is magnetizing not polarizing, or a system that is based on the needs of it’s people and not the corporations and wealthiest who support political campaigns. Can we even respond, How??

We continue to have weakening interactions with our government, with little televised hope for something better. Where will this lead us? We will have to see and be strong in the coming months. But particle theory shows that continuing degrading, weakening interactions with intermingled particles will create radioactive decay. A real decay is happening in the United States and has been for decades. But it’s speeding up and very very visible right now. Many feel powerless, just hold your nose and deal with it. But, are we powerless? Or are we just downtrodden, apathetic sheep? How can we take our true power back? Does our vote count?  How it will play out will be interesting, and a lot is riding upon this 2016 election, I believe even more is riding on the outcome from standing rock. For this is no longer about money. Because the corporations basically have all the money. This is now about power. It’s about controlling the populations right to even drink clean water, to be able to grow a garden, or breathe the air. This is about the very life or death of our planet. This is the time to stand up.

I believe that the consciousness of the majority of the American public has evolved from the capitalistic view. I believe in the good things coming. I am a witness that the awakened populous will be heard, and a change will occur. Either that, or a complete meltdown and re-evolution of our system to begin piecing this back together as they did in Iceland. But how do we fix something so broken? It can be done!! Look at what Anonymous did over and over again….  I believe that our reorganization probably should have occurred during the stock market collapse in 2007, rather than providing a corporate bail out.

Instead of positive restructuring of our broken system giving and rising to fix this on behalf of the people who lost during the housing collapse, we witnessed that rewards were given, rather than punishment for the degradation of our people and economy.

No more bail-outs. The stakes are at their all time highest. The people are awake and watching and though many may feel like there is nothing we can do, I BELIEVE. When the weakening interactions continue on such a wide scale, there are sure to be repercussions coming from the circulating particles who are no longer attached to the idea of being burnt over and over again. They no longer want to be part of a nucleus that is obviously not working for the best interests of a strong and healthy society but only for the gain of the wealthiest. Wish us luck and strength in the election and evolution to come.
